How to Check Your Network Status

How to Check Your Network Status

If you’re having trouble with calls, texts, or mobile data, there are a few simple checks you can do directly on your phone. These steps often resolve temporary connection issues and help identify whether there may be a wider network problem.

1. Check Your Signal

Look at the signal bars at the top of your screen and confirm your phone is connected to the mobile network.

  • If you have little or no signal, this may indicate a temporary issue in your area

  • If the network name is missing, your phone may not be connected correctly

2. Turn Airplane Mode On and Off

This refreshes your phone’s connection to the network.

  1. Turn Airplane Mode on

  2. Wait around 30 seconds

  3. Turn Airplane Mode off

  4. Give your phone a moment to reconnect and check your signal again

3. Restart Your Phone

A quick restart can often resolve minor network issues.

  • Power your phone off

  • Wait 30 seconds

  • Turn it back on and allow it to reconnect to the network

4. Check Your Mobile Settings

Make sure your phone is set up correctly:

  • Mobile data is turned on

  • Your Faith Mobile eSIM is enabled and active

  • Network selection is set to automatic

5. Test Your Service

Try each service one at a time:

  • Make a phone call

  • Send a text message

  • Open a website using mobile data (with Wi-Fi turned off)

This helps identify whether the issue affects calls, texts, data, or everything.

6. Check With Others Nearby

If possible, ask someone nearby who uses the same mobile network whether they’re experiencing similar issues. If others are affected, it’s likely a temporary local network problem.
